Dr Peter Newman Brown

Dr Peter Newman Brown

Dental Surgeon

BDS (Lond 1969), LDSRCSEng (1969)

GDC No. 43109

Dr Newman Brown graduated from Guy’s Hospital in 1969 and initially worked in central London learning how to save the broken down dentitions that were so prevalent in those days rather than accept tooth loss.

The lure of the countryside was too great to resist and he and his wife moved to live in East Sussex in 1971. Commuting was a dreadful experience in those days and he decided to start a practice in Tunbridge Wells. That was 38 years ago. During that time he has focused everyday practice on his patients’ needs and the requirements of a preventive approach to dental practice. It is fundamental that we use all our efforts to provide comfortable painfree treatments but also terribly important that we try to prevent the need for those treatments in the first place.

Dr Newman Brown is very pleased to have been able to merge his Practice with his friend and colleague Dr Pedja Pavlovic and his team so together they can provide a wider range of services under one roof.

In the past Dr Newman Brown has been very involved with the British Dental Association being Southern Counties Branch President in 1998 and sometime Vice-Chairman of the central Private Practice Committee. He is now firmly on the back benches.

When not in the practice Peter can be found on the golf course or in the garden trying to encourage the swings of his grandsons and the blooms of the roses.
